CSA Quantity Surveyor

Our client is a leading specialist data centre main contractor delivering full turnkey solutions across Europe, incorporating civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and commissioning works.
With group turnover exceeding €1.5bn and a strong pipeline of secured projects over the next three years, they continue to expand within the mission-critical construction sector.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced CSA Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team on a major data centre development in Milan, Italy.
The CSA Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of all civil, structural, and architectural packages, ensuring financial control, contractual compliance, and value optimisation throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
•    Manage the commercial delivery of CSA packages from procurement through to final account.
•    Prepare, review, and negotiate subcontract packages, including scope definition and pricing analysis.
•    Monitor subcontractor performance against budget and programme.
•    Assess and process interim valuations, variations, and final accounts.
•    Identify, evaluate, and manage change control procedures in line with contract requirements.
•    Prepare cost reports, forecasts, and financial updates for senior management.
•    Support procurement activities, including tender analysis and subcontractor selection.
•    Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and risk management procedures.
•    Liaise with project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure accurate cost capture and reporting.
•    Assist in the preparation and agreement of claims where necessary.

Requirements
•    Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or related discipline.
•    Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveyor role on large-scale construction projects.
•    Previous experience managing CSA packages on data centre or mission-critical projects is highly desirable.
•    Strong understanding of construction contracts and commercial management principles.
•    Proven experience in subcontract procurement, valuations, and variation management.
•    Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
•    Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
•    Proficient in Microsoft Excel and commercial management software platforms.
